Who is Aaron T. Johnson?

Not sure if you read my profile but I am going to repeat some of the same things here in my first post. My name is Aaron Timothy Johnson. I am 28 years old. I have a Master’s degree in Kinesiology, exercise science.   It has been my passion my entire life. I am just realizing it.

I am an athlete.  Since my days as a youth football quarterback for the Queensborough Tigers. I was a 3 year starting quarterback at Huntington High School.  I was a 4 year scholarship athlete at Grambling State University. After graduation, my coach cut my scholarship. So I went to graduate school.

After receiving a master’s degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University, at the age of 23, it became apparent no one wanted to hire a 23 year old with a master’s degree. So I did what lots of professionals do when they can’t find a job. I went to sell books and magazines door to door, state to state. I figured, since I had a couple degrees I might as well learn a new skill, selling.

There were lots of jobs I could have taken to learn sales, but none were sending me a bus ticket to the nations capital Washington, D.C. to start.  I sold books and magazines for a summer and a few months, 5 months. It was one of those experiences most people can’t relate to. For me, it changed my attitude.  It changed how I understood the world.

That summer I worked for, Unifed Doesrs.  We visted 8 states.  In every state, it was the same product, magazines.  The same sales pitch.  The same result. Sales, sales, and more sales. It amazed me how people bought magazines from total strangers right at their front door.  People would give cash or write a check at their front door and expect their magazines in 3 months,or later.  The idea fascinated me.  If I only had a credit card processor.  BIG SHOUT OUT to the Unified Doers.

That’s the summer I grew up, mentally.  With a bachelor degree in Sociology from Grambling State University, a master degree from Louisiana State University and I wasn’t afraid to walk up to total strangers and ask for money. I started to plan, and think of a master plan.

I’m ambitious and I’m somewhat stubborn. I’ve learned to look for what I want. Once I mastered that skill, the world became a playground. I learned to accept rejection through my experience as a door to door salesmen. Once that skill was mastered, the world became my home.

I taught middle school for three years. This is where I came up with the idea for elementary, middle, and high school fundraisers with my brand and product, Skate Buds Strap-on Heel Skates.  This is where I came up with the idea for after-school fitness camps for teachers and administrators. There were so many out of shape teachers. They couldn’t keep up with the young energetic students, mentally nor physically.  I think if students, teachers, and administrators Get Fit and Stay Fit we will have a more effective education system.

Now, I Promote Healthy Lifestyles through Physical Activity, with Skate Buds Strap-on Heel Skates.  My company Skate Buds International Corporation is working to promote this lifestyle in fun and innovative ways. Ways that support community and and make communities stronger.
